How Does it All Work?
- We meet (or hop on the phone/video call) for a chat and get to know each other. You can take your time to decide if we are a good fit and let me know when you’re ready.
- If you are happy, we will meet to fill out the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) at least 30 days before your wedding day, sign the fee agreement and pay the deposit. This can be completed at our first or second meeting.
- You will need to bring with you:
- If previously married, evidence of divorce/nullity/death
- The deposit if paying cash (direct debit preferred)
- I will also gather details about your day so we can begin planning the ceremony. You can be as involved as you like in this process, from writing it all yourself, to me writing the whole ceremony for you. I have plenty of templates and ideas for you to work from. There are just a few, brief legal components that you must include. We will work through the writing process until we have a ceremony that you are happy with.
- The balance of the fees will be paid 21 days before the wedding day.
- In the week or so before the wedding we can have a rehearsal to ensure everyone involved knows how the ceremony will run: entrances, pauses, family speakers. This will ideally take place at the venue, unless the venue is more than 1 hour away.
- On your wedding day I will arrive early to setup my PA equipment and ensure we are ready before guests arrive.
- After the ceremony I will submit all necessary paperwork to Births Deaths and Marriages to ensure your marriage is legal and finalised.
- I will check in with you after the wedding to make sure you were happy with the day and discuss any feedback.
